In Year Admissions
It is important that you provide any relevant documentation to support your application this could include;
• proof of your child's date of birth,
• proof of address (for military families you must provide proof of billeting address) and
• any relevant court orders with your application.
The processing of your application will be delayed if you fail to submit the relevant evidence.
In Year applications are for admissions during the academic school year, other than the normal year of entry (starting school, transfer to Middle school, transfer to Secondary school, transfer to Upper school).
The last date for making an application online for the current academic year (September 2025 - July 2026) is 30 June 2026. After this date you will need to submit a paper application which can be downloaded from our website.
In Year applications for September 2026 can be made online via the in Year application process from 11 May 2026 onwards.
We receive a high volume of applications to be processed during this time. We will write to you when we receive your application to let you know it has been received. We will then write to you with the outcome as soon as it has been processed.
Any applications made during July 2026 will likely be processed by the end of September 2026.
Applications are not processed during the school holidays. As the schools are closed during these periods, we can't liaise with school staff. It is therefore extremely unlikely that your child will be able to start at their new school at the beginning of term. If you have already submitted an In-Year application online and wish to change your preferences, please download a change of preference form from our website https://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/info/5/school_admissions/508/applying_for_a_school_place_during_the_academic_year/6
You must apply directly to the following schools in Central Bedfordshire:

2025 Admission Rounds (CENTRAL BEDFORDSHIRE RESIDENTS ONLY)
You must only use one method to apply for a place. If you have already made a paper application please do not apply online. Similarly, if you apply online, please do not make a paper application. If you do the latest application will be the application we consider.
Please download a paper application form from our website if you are unable to apply online.
If you are applying for religious schools outside of Central Bedfordshire, you will need to complete one of their religious forms and send to the school you are applying for.
