Attending antenatal and postnatal care when you are pregnant and have a new baby is essential to ensure the wellbeing of you and your baby.  There are points in your pregnancy where we recommend seeing you face to face, at other times we are recommending contact via telephone. Aged 0-5 – for support and advice with your child’s health and development

Health Visitors support the health and wellbeing of your whole family though the Healthy Child Programme. From antenatal visits until your child goes to school, we work to ensure that your child has the best start possible in life.  

Parentline is a secure and confidential text service for parents and carers of those aged 0-19. It offers advice and support on a range of issues such as weaning, sleep and emotional health or how to make an appointment with our team. This is also a great mechanism to find out how to access other local services.

Aged 5-19 – for support and advice with your child’s health and development

School Nursing Service - school nurses are part of Bedfordshire Community Health Services’ 0-19 team. Our team is made up of specialist nurses, staff nurses and support health professionals. When your child comes to school we take over their care from your health visitor.
